Red flashing ring

A FLASHING red ring indicates that the Portal is no longer passing its Power On Self-Test.  Please try a factory reset by holding down the reset button (you'll need a paperclip) for >10 seconds.  This will force the Portal to return to a known state with the last updated firmware. This should make your Portal go solid red (pass POST), then blue (able to access the internet), followed by blinking blue (updating) and finally green (fully updated and connected to the internet.

Since the factory reset returns the Portal to its original out of box configuration, you will need to go through the setup process again to customize it.

If your still having issues after the factory reset, please let us know and submit a trouble ticket.

    Fingers crossed,

    David

After Factory reset, same issue, It would be a blue ring for 10 seconds, then Red Ring for 45 seconds, after cycles (blue 10, red 45) it will start flashing again.  No matter what configuration I had (direct connection to the modem, or connected to the main portal, or not connected to anything),, it no longer allows me to factory reset, as pressing the button for > 10 seconds does not appear to do affect the timing, nor the eventual red flashing ring, and if I try to factory reset while the red ring is flashing, it doesn't stop flashing.
