I have replaced my previous router with the Portal. No exotic setup here and I've tried to keep things the same between the two, (other than the Portal using a different IP range of 192.168.8.* vs. 192.168.1.*.)
I've got a NAS device connected via ethernet on my portal with a static IP of 192.168.8.142.
From a PC connected via WiFi to the Portal I can't access a share on this NAS using \\192.168.8.142\FolderName as I used to on my old router, (where the IP was 192.168.1.142.)
Similarly, I have a no-ip.com account that forwards to my external IP address. On the Portal I've configured an inbound rule to forward WAN traffic on a specific port to the NAS device's IP. using username.noip.me:<portnumber> isn't bringing up my device's page anymore. However, using http://192.168.8.142:<portnumber> does.
Any hints on how to solve these problems?
